Our Sixth Year

On Saturday, November 5th, 2016 Thomas and I celebrated six years of our STRONG relationship.

Throughout the years we have been together, we have been through a lot. A majority know what, most have witnessed, and some were involved. Through all the struggles you can never forget about the good. We share many memories the good and the bad. I feel I am an open book and can talk about everything. I like to share things because I feel what I went through can help others, but we will save that for another time; another blog. 

We had a very simple morning and day. We ran a couple errands. We recently got our iPhone 7’s and our cell phone cases no longer fit. We went and picked up new cases. We then grabbed lunch and headed home to hangout on the couch for a few hours and watched a couple episodes of Shameless

I looked at the clock and it was almost 7pm, I knew I needed to start getting ready (hello us females take forever to get ready). 

I didn’t take a photo of my outfit (sorry), but I kept it very simple and casual. I wore black pants, a white sleeveless top tucked in, black bootie heels, and my fur (fake) scarf. For my makeup I used The Burgundy Palette | Kyshadow. I got a lot of comments on my makeup (thank you to those who complimented me). I am not great with my makeup, but I tried lol. We had dinner reservations at Bocado Tapas Wine Bar. If you have not been there, please check it out. They have a few locations; check to see what one is closest to you. This is honestly one of my favorite places to eat. I love the style of eating at Bocado’s. As the website explains “very Spanish, and yet very adaptable to American culture…tapas are generally served in small portions on small plates and shared by everyone in the party.” I love eating off of T’s plate where ever we are (no shame) and this is the perfect place to do so. We first ordered our drinks we ordered a pitcher of Mixed Berry Sangria – Rosé Wine, Fresh Blueberries, Blackberries and Raspberries. 

For food we ate:

Calamares con Ajo – fried calamari with garlic, lemon, parsley, and orange horseadish crema.

Pollo a La Plancha – roasted paprika and garlic marinated chicken breast over Russin potato salada with rioja allioli. THIS IS MY FAVORITE. I ORDER EVERY TIME.

Hamburguesas de Wagyu – twin mini Kobe-style beef burgers, basil Dijon mayo, lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion.

After dinner we headed home, but we made one stop. It was to the liquor store to grab champagne so we could celebrate. I then slipped into something nice for him. If you follow me on Snapchat you know, lol.
